About Neural Therapy
What is Neural Therapy?
Neural Therapy is a holistic and therapeutic treatment that focuses on addressing the root cause of chronic pain and dysfunction by targeting the nervous system. The therapy is based on the theory that disturbances in the nervous system, such as scar tissues or nerve irritations, can cause pain and dysfunction in the body.
Neural Therapy involves the injection of local anesthetics into specific points along the nervous system, including scar tissue, trigger points, and nerve ganglia, to restore proper nerve function and alleviate pain. By stimulating the body's natural healing processes, neural therapy can help alleviate conditions such as chronic back pain, headaches, joint pain, and even conditions related to stress and trauma.
Neural Therapy is particularly effective for conditions which do not respond well to conventional treatments.
A brief history of Neural Therapy
The origins of Neural Therapy can be traced back to 1884 in Germany, when Sigmund Freud and Carl Koller were looking for a treatment to calm a patient's neuralgia. Over a century ago, German medical brothers Ferdinand and Walter Huneke proved the therapeutic effect of local anesthetics and developed a local segmental treatment which they call Neural Therapy.
